Prasant Naidu.

Have you seen the add of Ranbir Kapoor where he is asking, “What are you doing this Diwali to make it special”. He says to turn down the volume this Diwali. Well before asking you guys, I should ask what Mr PN is going to do this Diwali.

Few weeks back I was thinking what can I do when India was celebrating the Joy of Giving week? I scratched my dead cells in my head but they have all become lazy. Even when Sallu Bhai became the brand ambassador of Being Human, I was still thinking what can I do this Diwali to make it special? I wanted to do something on my own rather than following the bandwagon. In a way this Diwali is special to me since I am going to be with my parents after a gap of a decade. So in all reasons it is a special one. The celebrations in my home have already started. Dusting, cleaning, goodies, sweets; Amma is in full swing with her back pain. Well on one side when we will wish everyone Happy Diwali and exchange sweets there would be thousands of people who will celebrated this Diwali without a roof in relief camps, forget lighting diyas and having sweets. I won’t get into the details of the flood victims and there trauma. To be practical I can’t help them but I can do a small bit from my side this Diwali to really make it special.

As a kid I always loved crackers and this Diwali I have decided to buy a pack of small crackers for kids who can’t afford them. Do you recall those childhood memories when your parents would guide you when you would burst crackers and there would be kids who would stare at you and will jump over the left over burning crackers? This Diwali I want them to gift them crackers. I know its not a big thing and it would be a very small effort but I want to do it not for blessings, not for good comments on my blog but I can't see them staring at me anymore with those pitiful eyes. There is a small village near my home and I have planned to distribute crackers there(More updates later and may be some snaps too :) So that’s how I am going to make my Diwali special

So,What are you doing this Diwali?
Please don’t thank me for this and if you really want to thank me then make some one smile this Diwali, who is in need of it.
